Counselors

To ensure your well-being, the Dean of Students Office offers counseling services for moments when you need guidance or someone to talk to. You can discuss topics such as relationships, academics, finances, emotions, or family matters. If you’re already a Uniandes member, make an appointment through Bookeau.

Security and safety on campus

At Uniandes, we are committed to providing you with the best possible experience. To ensure this, Uniandes takes great care of campus security. You can find a map of the safe walking routes—which are constantly monitored by Uniandes and other institutional security staff. Please remember that the Uniandes campus opens at 5:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. In case of a security concern, the Security Department’s number is (601) 3324350.

Preventing any form of abuse, harassment, threats or discrimination.

To prevent and address any form of abuse, harassment, threats, or discrimination, Uniandes has established the MAAD Protocol, which ensures safe and respectful environments for all community members. For more information, visit Ombudsperson. In case of emergencies, you can contact the National Police at 123, available throughout Colombia.

Additional support

At Uniandes, diversity is reflected in the inclusion of students with disabilities, student parents, LGBTIQ+ students, and those with different financial or personal circumstances. Services are adapted to meet each group’s needs, from accessibility adjustments and name-change requests to specialized lactation rooms.

All members of the Uniandes community can also seek counseling or mediation support and the ombudsperson support in cases of conflict, authority abuse, or discrimination.
